Very few early-flowering bulbs are planted as much as the Crocus. Besides tulips, hyacinths and daffodils , crocuses are used the most in gardens and parks. Crocuses that remain in the ground will flower earlier than those newly planted. The cup-shaped flowers open when the sun shines or when there is a lot of light; they close at dark weather and at night. Crocuses are beautiful in the grass and in combination with perennials in borders. Crocuses have narrow leaves with a silver-gray stripe down the middle.
